Peter Francese is a widely recognized demographics and consumer markets expert. He started American Demographics Magazine and speaks and writes frequently on demographic and consumer trends. His latest marketing book was titled: Marketing Insights to Help Your Business Grow. Francese has also authored two other books on how to better target consumer markets: Capturing Customers and Marketing Know-How, and was the co-author of Health Care Consumers.
His most recent book, with co-author Lorraine Merrill, is titled Communities & Consequences. It’s about the long term implications of demographic trends in New Hampshire. It was published in January 2008 along with a documentary on the same topic by Jay Childs in which Francese was the principal correspondent. The book and film website is: www.communitiesandconsequences.org Francese was the creator and author of a weekly newspaper column called “People Patterns”, which reported on demographic trends for a business audience. People Patterns had been syndicated in about 50 newspapers, but later appeared monthly in the six regional editions of The Wall Street Journal. He founded and became publisher of American Demographics magazine, which quickly became the nation’s most authoritative source on consumer trends for business leaders and was nominated three times for a National Magazine Award.
